Getting a toned body is no longer impossible, thanks to the many technological developments that have graced the beauty industry with successful results. Going under the knife is still a dicey situation that can leave enough room for confusions, questions, and indecision.

In this article, I shall share my experience of going for a body sculpting procedure.

Let us get one thing cleared, procedures targeting fat are decisive in nature. As the movement of reclaiming "fat" as a social subject, my primary goal was not to reduce the size of my body but to structure it and enhance it best to its capacity. I, however, did not want to go under drastic surgical changes to attain my goal. On extensive research over many months, the only procedure that could be circled down was Coolsculpting.

Coolsculpting seemed like a good option to reduce the unwanted flabs without losing my entity. Over the years, good diet without comprising on my food choices and a regulated exercise regime has helped me attain my desired body weight. However, weight reduction could not give me the right posture to fit into all the clothes I had saved on Pinterest. It left me dazed and demotivated. However, coolsculpting came to the rescue. As I was no longer gaining weight and my weight was not fluctuating, Coolsculpting and its pros and cons sat well within my capabilities to maintain.

So, what is Coolsculpting? Coolsculpting is a safe, non-surgical and non-invasive procedure that freezes the excessive fat cells in the body and eliminates them from the body to attain the desired body shape.

This is enabled by subjecting the fat flab under extreme cooling temperatures that destroys the fat cells. As per basic science, extreme conditions enable molecular structure to change.

Coolsculpting has a very little downtime, making it a favourable option for those with a hectic, active lifestyle. It is approved by FDA, and thus is a guaranteed safe procedure to reduce fat.

However, if you are going in for the procedure, your real body weight should be close to your ideal body weight. As coolsculpting can only destroy the existing fat cells and not really stop the regeneration of fat cells in the future.

It is an effective solution against double chin, flabby arms and thighs, excessive bulges on the waistline, back fat, bra fat, flanks, and buttocks. The caveat is that you must have enough fat in those areas for the applicator to work on. It takes roughly around 30-45 minutes for one session. In my experience, it was a significantly painless procedure. The cooling planks or the applicator can be too cold depending upon the sensitivity tolerance in each body part you are opting the service for. During the procedure, one may feel tingling and pulling in sensations, this is caused by the suction from the vacuum applicator. The sensation lasts only for a brief period as the coldness of the applicator soon numbs the skin to disable any feeling in those parts. After the machine is removed from the body, the area is vigorously massaged to stimulate blood circulation. This can be a little painful as suddenly the muscles are active, the transition can hurt a little, but that is only for a brief period. I took my session at VLCC India, where the aestheticians and doctors demonstrated the procedure to me during my consultation period. In total, I had two appointments, each session lasting for about 45 minutes. One around my abdomen area and one to remove the excess fat from the back.

It’s been a year to my procedure, and I am completely satisfied with the result. All in all, will I get CoolSculpting done again? Yes, if need be. I have not accumulated any fat since the procedure as I have maintained an ideal weight. However, coolsculpting has been effective and satisfied all my body contouring requirements.
